The 7th World Surfactants Congress will be held from Sunday 22 June to Wednesday 25 June 2008 at the PALAIS DES CONGRES DE PARIS, 3, Place de la Porte Maillot - 75017 Paris – France.
The Palais des Congrès is easily accessible by car (Parking Porte Maillot under the Congress Centre), by local city bus (lines 82.73.43.244.PC) or by metro (line 1) or RER (Paris Suburban Express Metropolitan Network, line C). The station is called “Porte Maillot”.

Exhibition
An exhibition will cover the scientific, economic and technical as well as safety and regulatory aspects of surfactants and surfactant applications in industry and consumer products.
The exhibition opening hours are foreseen as such.

Official Language
The official Congress language is English. No simultaneous translation will be provided.
Badges
A name badge will be provided with your registration documents on site. Participants are requested to wear their badge during the congress.
Lunches & Breaks
During the breaks, coffee and tea will be available in the exhibition areas. Lunches will be served to registered delegates.
Insurance & Liability
The Organizers will accept no liability for personal injuries sustained by or for loss or damage to property belonging to Congress participants, either during or as a result of the Congress or during all tours and events.
Participants are strongly recommended to seek insurance coverage for health and accident, lost luggage and trip cancellation.

Electricity
Electricity used in France is 220 Volts; its frequency is 50 Hz and the plugs have two male contact points. Plan on bringing a transformer for your electronic equipment using different voltage (ie. USA, Canada).
Climate & Clothing
The weather in Paris in June is usually warm and sunny with daily temperatures ranging from 20°C to 25° C. Night temperatures may be milder between 12°C to 16°C.
Visas & Passports
Every person entering France should be in possession of a valid passport and/or identification card. Some countries require a visa. Please contact your nearest French Embassy or Consulate for further information.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
Paris can easily be reached by plane, train or car, as it is located at the crossroads of Europe. It is served by two international airports and a very convenient railway system. The shuttle buses from Charles de Gaulle airport arrive in front of the Palais des Congrès, which is also accessible through all Paris public transports.
